HISTÒRIES GEGANTS arrives, the first television program about the human stories that revolve around the world of Catalan popular imagery.
"Giant stories" focuses on the people who bring the world of popular imagery to life: Behind figures who are inspired by an imaginary world we discover stories of overcoming, commitment, sacrifice, love, joy , of fortune, success and disappointment. Great human stories around popular imagery, which will be the meeting point for the protagonists. The sector is booming in Catalonia, where every year it brings more than three million people to the 10,000 events that are held with the presence of giants and figures from the popular bestiary. "Giant Stories" delves into this world and the human stories that converge in it, with seven programs that journalist and singer Sara Roy presents in a particular style, often accompanied by guitar and music. Creation, inspiration, overcoming, love, drive and struggle are the concepts that will focus the first six chapters, which will reveal stories such as that of a boy from Zaragoza who fell in love with a griller from Palamós and ended up being head of group, that of the character behind the new behemoth of Barberà del Vallès and that of the promoters of an inclusive bestiary figure for the Solsona Carnival, which can bring people with disabilities. As a final point, the last program will be a summary, which will be dedicated to the fiesta major of Vilafranca del Penedès, which has a very rich and varied range of imagery and traditional dances.
It is a production of E2S Contents from Manresa with funding from the Catalan Institute of Cultural Enterprises (ICEC).
